Komite SMA Negeri 7 Binjai mengadakan rapat dengan orang tua siswa pada 1 September 2025, membahas penerimaan dana Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) dan rencana pelaksanaan tes kemampuan akademik. Rapat dihadiri oleh pimpinan sekolah, pengurus komite, wali kelas, dan ratusan orang tua. Ketua Komite menekankan pentingnya transparansi dalam penyaluran dana PIP untuk membantu siswa kurang mampu. Selain itu, tes akademik direncanakan untuk mengukur kualitas dan potensi siswa.
